Alice in Wonderland was the top movie at the box office for the second weekend in a row, with a big lead over the rest of the top ten. Its total domestic take of $208.6 million so far has made it the top grossing of the seven films star Johnny Depp and director Tim Burton have made together, surpassing 2005's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

The thriller Green Zone, starring Matt Damon as the leader of a U.S. Army team who stumbles onto a conspiracy over the search for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, opened in a distant second place. It was directed by Paul Greengrass, who also directed Damon in The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum. Debuting in third place was the romantic comedy She's Out of My League, starring Jay Baruchel as a geek who has to figure out how to make the relationship work when a gorgeous girl, played by Alice Eve, falls in love with him.

The romantic drama Remember Me, starring Twilight's Robert Pattinson and Lost's Emilie de Ravin as a couple whose romance is threatened by secrets in their past, opened in fourth place. It also stars Pierce Brosnan and Chris Cooper. Debuting at Number Six was the comedy Our Family Wedding, starring Ugly Betty's America Ferrera as a Hispanic woman marrying a black man. Forest Whitaker, comedian Carlos Mencia, and Lance Gross co-star.
