MOSINEE, Wis (WSAU) The driver in a double-fatal rollover crash is out of the hospital, and is expected to face drunk driving charges shortly.
39-year-old Travis Ploman was injured in the wreck that killed his 40-year-old wife Jennifer and his 12-year-old daughter Erin.
Mosinee police have recommended a charge of intoxicated use of a vehicle to the Marathon County DA’s office. His blood-alcohol level has not been reported.
Ploman had been at Wausau-Aspirus Hospital since the crash. The police report says he nearly drove off the road on I-39 near Highway 153 on Sunday morning. He overcompensated while getting back into his lane and lost control. His SUV landed on its side after rolling over several times.
