APPLETON, Wis. (WTAQ) - Some area World War II veterans are getting a chance to see their sacrifice and hard work up close thanks to a local group. Old Glory Honor Flight is announcing their "Take Off 2010" flight will leave April 8th to Washington D.C. 100 area veterans will get to make the trip for free.
The veterans will be accompanied by 50 guardians and a medical staff on the trip. Ron Lecker from Old Glory Honor Flight Inc. says their still looking for people to donate to help these veterans see their service and sacrifice in person.
