GERMANTOWN, Wis. (WTAQ) - Germantown Police say a woman charged in a drug overdose death might be linked to 2 other deaths – but they’ll need witnesses before they can seek charges. 38-year-old Kimberly Sell of Germantown was charged this week with reckless homicide, for allegedly providing the methadone that killed 21-year-old Kati Lynn Hammen of Fredonia last December. Now, police are trying to determine if Sell was connected with the deaths of 2 other men found unresponsive at her home last year.
Sell’s fiancée, 48-year-old Ted Olla, died last April from overdoses of cocaine, methadone, and other drugs. And 25-year-old Ian Hegmegee died last December from a cocaine overdose, after he was found unresponsive 2 months earlier and later went into a coma. Hegmegee’s family has criticized the lack of charges in the death. But Germantown Police Chief Peter Hoell says officers cannot arrest people based on allegations – and he’s hoping that witnesses will come forward.
