MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTAQ) - Two convicted felons from Milwaukee will be sentenced November 9th, after they admitted voting illegally in the presidential election two years ago.
Ramon Martinez and David Lewis pleaded guilty to voting while disqualified. Lewis was also charged with giving false information to election officials – but that count was dropped in a plea bargain.
Prosecutors said both men were probation for felony convictions in Milwaukee County when they voted in November of 2008. State law prohibits convicted felons from voting until all their obligations are completed, including probation and parole.
