HARTFORD, Wis. (WTAQ) - A man accused of stalking a college student has been caught after no-showing a court appearance.
47-year-old Al Umentum was due in court August 25th for his trial on charges he stalked female students at UW-Green Bay.
Umentum was arrested in Hartford Monday after citizens tipped off police that he was in the area. At first Umentum gave officers a fake name, but they correctly ID'ed him and took him to Washington County jail.
It's not known when Umentum will return to Brown County.
Authorities said he followed the 5 women near the UWGB campus last December. He faces up to 3-and-a-half years in prison if convicted. This is not Umentum’s first run in with the law.
In August 2009, police say Umentum walked into a De Pere tanning salon and forced his way into the tanning area. Before that, he was convicted of spying on women showering at a UW-Oshkosh residence hall in 2008.
