NEW YORK, NY (WTAQ) - The Green Bay Packers used the first of two fifth round draft picks on Arkansas tight end D.J. Williams.

The 6'2", 251 pounder won the John Mackey Award as the nation's top TE in 2010.

Williams was a First-Team All-SEC selection in 2008 and 2010. The three-year
starter at Arkansas also received the Disney Spirit Award in 2010, which is
given to the most inspirational person in college football.

A very hard worker who leads by example...Plays with a lot of aggression and is a very tough competitor...Is gifted athletically...Has great speed and burst, which
helps create separation...Soft hands and tremendous ball skills make him a
dangerous target...Can get vertical and runs smooth routes.

Does not have the ideal size or height for the next level...Is not very strong and is only a mediocre blocker.

The Packers traded their second 5th round pick (163rd overall) to San Francisco for their 6th round (174th overall) and 7th round (231st overall) picks.
