The UW Milwaukee Panthers made it a sweep of the UW Green Bay Phoenix in Horizon League mens basketball action Saturday afternoon at the Resch Center with an 81-75 victory.  Milwaukee beat the Phoenix on a last second three a month ago and this time, filled up the hoop with a dozen three point baskets.  The Panthers improved to 8-5 in conference play, 15-10 overall while Green Bay fell to 9-13 and 5-7.  Freshman point guard Kiefer Sykes scored a career high 25 points in the loss while sophomore Alec Brown broke the school record for blocked shots with 134, two more than Terry Evans.  Brown also tied his single season blocked shot record with 67.    The Phoenix is off until Friday night when they seek their first road win of the season at Wright State.

The Green Bay women made it a perfect 20 for 20 by dominating Milwaukee Saturday night at the sold-out Kress Events Center 85-39.  The Phoenix had five players in double figures led by Julie Wojta and Sarah Eichler with 16.   Green Bay led by 26 at intermission and built the lead to as uch as 46 in the second half.  The Phoenix forced 31 turnovers and scored 44 points off the mistakes, holding Milwaukee to just 27 % shooting on the night.   Green Bay, ranked 9th in the coaches poll and 10th by the AP has now won 40 consecutive regular season games.   They will host Detroit at the Kress Center Thursday night.
